Insuring your family eats enough vegetables can sometimes be a challenge. However, if you are creative, and willing to try out new methods and recipes, it is possible.
Pump up your pasta sauce with vitamins by sneaking in pured vegetables. Mild flavored steamed vegetables such as zucchini or squash can be smashed with a fork, or ran through a food processor, then added to your pasta or pizza sauce without being noticed. Other vegetables, for example baby spinach, can be de-veined and chopped into a consistency similar to basil or oregano.
